Introduction :

In order to complete our electronic and mechanical school formation, we had to perform a devise based on both mechanic and electronic. Moreover, as we’re fond of music, we decided to work on the power amplifier. That’s why we also tried to find a mecanical project according to the electronic one. Then we were asked to create a couple of acoustics speakers, which totally led us deep into music world.

At the beginning most of our work consisted in finding lots of documents and information to have a good starting point but we quickly had to make an electronic assembly of our power amplifier, which took us a long time. On the one hand because of  the number of components and, on the other hand because of the problems caused by electronic parasites.

To build our speakers we, first, had to model on a computing system. It helped us to choose thetechnology we would use and to have an overview of the final making. In fact acoustic enclosures can be made using many different materials (wood, treated ceramic..) and technologies (bass reflex, close..).

Finally, we decided to extend our devise by controlling our amplifier thanks to a servo-motor. Actually, a servo-motor is an electric motor which can be controlled by a computer using the ELECTRONICS communication port.
